Empty Vases is a painted multidimensional examination of the landscape that I see on my daily walks throughout Southern California. This series abstractly captures the shapes, colors and textures on ceramic vases that I find at thrift stores and online.

Why can’t an empty vase be as beautiful as one with flowers?

Empty Vases

I’m thrilled to show Empty Vases at the inaugural Perfectly Fair Art Fair in downtown Los Angeles on July 19th and 20th. The free event is at Rusha & Co. an artists driven gallery who opened in 2020. In addition to viewing the work by 20 plus artists there will be a taco truck, open bar and a chance to explore a historical building.

The vases are not for sale HOWEVER they are available by donation to Poly/Ana, an environmental group dedicated to ecological education and regenerative design for Altadena and the surrounding communities. You can also donate to any environmental/garden/nature non profit of your choice. Depending on the amount you donate you can choose a small, medium or large vase
